1989

Vector Engineering is founded by two embedded software engineers as a services organization, consulting with aerospace and defense companies on best practices in software development.

1991

Concept for Ada automated unit test tool developed during consulting engagement

1993

Informed by Army SBIR that “Automating Unit Test for Ada Development” is not selected for funding. Reason: “General purpose unit test tool is not possible to build”.

1994

Vector Engineering releases AdaCAST, its first product for the Lockheed Martin C-130J “Super” Hercules.

1998

Vector Software releases JCAST, a JOVIAL unit test tool for Hughes Aircraft and wins Small Business of the year award for new product.

2000

Vector Software releases VectorCAST/C, a unit and integration test tool for the C programming language.

2004

Vector Software releases VectorCAST/C++, a C++ version of their popular test tool for embedded software testing.

2006

Vector Software expands worldwide presence into: Europe, Turkey, Israel

2007

Vector Software opens European headquarters in London.

2008

Vector Software launches their VectorCAST Requirements Gateway product, VectorCAST/RGW along with their Embedded Test Management tool, VectorCAST/Manage.

2009

Vector Software expands presence into Asia.

2010

Vector Software opens office in Germany.

2011

TÜV SÜD certifies VectorCAST for the IEC 61508 and ISO 26262 Standards.

2012

Vector Software expands presence into South America and Asia Pacific. Vector Software adds fully integrated static source code analysis to VectorCAST.

2013

Vector Software opens India Development Center.

2014

Vector Software launches Global Services Organization.
Vector Software opens Canada office.

2015

Vector Software opens office in Japan.
Vector Software releases VectorCAST 6.4, accelerating quality and time to market.

2016

Vector Software launched VectorCAST/QA and VectorCAST/Analytics.
Vector Software added Jeffrey Fortin as head of product management.
Vector Software named a Cool Vendor by Gartner.
